Blog - Study Program (Carrera)

I am in the fourth year of theatrical design, so I have already studied several years, so I can give a complete opinion of this faculty. The subjects help us improve as design and give us the tools that will help us in the field, teach us drawings, art history, photoshop, sewing, construction techniques, etc.

In my opinion, the building and infrastructure of my university are not suitable for teaching, for example, in the lighting room, the installation is bad, it is dangerous, since the lighting grill could be eliminated with all the spotlights on top of us at any time.

In my university career, we use a lot of technology to design, for example, we use the "Sketch Up" program where we build the 3D scenarios. The bad thing is that computers are not very good, they barely resist the programs they need to teach us, so most of the time we decided to buy a computer that will resist.

On the mandatory problems of my career, they are very varied, what I like, but the problem is that there are some problems that last very little. A lot of phrase has been said:

"They want to show us a bit of everything and many times we don't learn anything."

For example, in a semester there is a topic in which they teach us animation and projection, but, due to the small number of classes, we only manage to learn the basic animation concepts. And we only had two classes to learn to "project", so we could not acquire enough knowledge. This happens in many other subjects, where they teach us interesting things, but only for a semester. It would be great to change this, for example, to make more elective bouquets, so that we can deepen the design fields that interest us more.

The methodologies used for teaching are good in general, but there are teachers who have very outdated teaching methodologies, especially the teachers we have at the beginning of the race, in the first year; Many times we do not understand them and in a few years we rule out the teachings that are more outdated, since they are not useful for us or even the new teachers tell us that we need to update ourselves and get out of the rules they have imposed on us in the design of the theatre.

In summary, theatrical design career offers a wide variety of subjects that help students develop their skills as theatre designers. However, The Faculties of the Faculty Have Security Problems, and the computers provided are not powerful enough. Despite everything, teaching methods are mostly effective, especially the last years in which we can learn more design techniques to end.

Back to the past

 Back to the past

I would like to go to the past because there are many things that I would like to remedy.

But I would not like to return to the past as "me." I like to return there as an advisor to help my "little me".

For example, I would like to tell her:

  1. Do not be afraid of failure, it is an inevitable part of growth, you will realize that they will give you more strength.
  2. Enjoy life, do not open yourself, school is not everything, there are many things to learn that are outside.
            •
  3. Do not blindly trust the words and advice of others. You can listen to the experiences and suggestions of others but remember that you are the only one who lives your life. You can even grow more if you stop listening because nobody knows you more than you.

Another thing, listening to yourself does not make you selfish, you must learn to say "no" when necessary. Establish essential limits for your good.

I don't know if I would like to stay in the past. Because I prefer to live in the present, and I do not like to be stagnant. I am aware that your learning path is individual and must go through independently. The goal is not to alter the past, but to illuminate the way forward.
